I never had any interest in cloth diapering when Avery was a baby.  For whatever reason, the thought never crossed my mind.  (Though it should have.)  But when Jackson was about three months old, our money situation got so tight that we really had to make a decision: either buy the next pack of jumbo diapers and not know where the pack after that was gonna come from, or start with a very small stash of cloth diapers and build it as we went.  We chose the second option.

I did a lot of research before we got started, and the information out there was nothing short of profuse.  But it was all meant for, and written by, moms who already knew what they were doing.  Somewhere during this research, I thought that maybe someone would be interested in the journey of a mom who’s brand-new to cloth diapers.  The initial impressions and day-to-day trial and error of someone who has no dad-gum clue what they’re doing.

I decided to add other content such as reviews (books, baby gear, tech, whatever I’m thinking of, really), photos, and a regular blog, too.  Enjoy, and remember – be engaged!  Leave your comments, questions, or thoughts on any entry or page.  I promise I don’t bite.  (Hard.)
